Step into the golden glow of the Harvest Moon Ball – a swing dance social event, complete with live band and an exciting dance contest full of fast feet, fancy tricks, and plenty of cheers! Join us at the charming Jack Dickey Hall for an evening filled with high-energy swing, joyful rhythms, and community spirit.
The night will feature:

✨ A mix and match dance contest showcasing swing dance improvisation and creativity (cost of entry goes towards prize money!)

Whether you’re here to dance your heart out, cheer on the competitors, or simply soak up the music, the Harvest Moon Ball promises a night of unforgettable fun.
This event is inspired by the original Harvest Moon Ball, which was a famous annual ballroom dance contest held at Madison Square Garden in New York City from 1935 to 1974, best known for promoting Lindy Hop and showcasing Black American artistry during the Swing Era. During its peak it drew in audiences of more than 20,000 people!
